- Periods are not a choice and period products are not a luxury. The Welsh Government has created this map, powered by DataMap Wales, so that wherever you live in Wales you can locate free period products as and when you need them. We have worked with local authorities to ensure the information is up to date and easily accessible for all. You can use the map’s filters to identify different types of organisations that supply free period products and find the place that’s closest to you. To access products at schools, you’ll usually need to be a student at that school, unless the school is also listed as a community pick-up location. We provide funding to local authorities every year to make free period products available in schools, colleges, and communities across Wales. Everyone should have access to period products, as and when they are required, to use in a private space that is safe and dignified. That’s why local authorities in Wales have worked hard to help women, girls and those who have periods access the products they need, for free. If you provide free period products and would like to feature on the map, please contact perioddignity@gov.wales. To find out where the closest toilets are, you can access the National Toilet Map on DataMapWales. Please note that the locations are continually being uploaded and updated.
